What is a Denial of Service Attack?
A Denial of Service Attack (DDoS) is a cyber attack where malware is used to shut down or disable a service, website, or network. The target is flooded with traffic or information that causes it to cease functioning, hence a legitimate user experiences a 'denial of service'.
