What is Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Proxy?
A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol that supports VoIP calls via the internet. It relies on a connection between two endpoints in a specific format, ensuring the initiation, maintanence and termination of these voice and video connections. A SIP Proxy receives these requests and processes them in order to initiate or end these calls.
